We are here to support you on all our rides and have a blast while doing this...nothing more, nothing less. You'll often hear us referred to as "the beer league of bike rides", meaning we are here to have fun, makes some great friends, and get some exercise along the way. This is just one of the advantages of being a Shred Collective Member, and best of all it's 100% free of charge.
Group Ride Legend
We offer analog & E-bike rides in several categories and our Event Name will illustrate the pace and skill level required for the given ride. Within our ride posts, you can expect to see ride details such as distance, elevation, and technical difficulty for each of our rides within Instateam so you will know which ride is right for you. Here is a ride legend of our Event Types to assist riders in determining where they fit in best within our group ride offerings.
Level 1 (pace)
- These are designed for riders who do not have experience riding singletrack trails or have a lower fitness level. They will feature a slower pace and more frequent rests throughout.
- E-bikes are welcome, and we request you ride in “ECO” on these.
Level 2 (pace)
- We see these as our main core group that runs at a more casual pace.
- These are designed for riders who have prior experience riding singletrack trails and are looking to grow their abilities and trail knowledge. These riders have more physical endurance to go further and climb higher than beginners but are still looking for a casual pace with rests along the way.
- E-bikes are welcome.
Level 3 (pace)
- These are designed for physically fit riders with plenty of singletrack experience who can handle a greatly increased pace, steep downhill trails, and technical features without hesitation. We require e-bike riders who join this group to be proficient in all aspects of riding technical singletrack as descents could be difficult and require confidence.
- These rides are intended to test the extent of a rider’s skill and push the boundaries of their physical fitness. Ride leaders will provide a supportive and fun environment as you push your abilities to the limits!
- E-bikes are welcome.
Ride post headers will begin with an event name to categorize the pace and skill level required (eg. Level 2-Int Ride or Level 3-Adv E-Bike). From there, it would break the ride down into Distance, Elevation, Technical Difficulty, and Physical Difficulty. You will see Beginner, Intermediate, and Advanced rides within each Pace Level.
